“Adam, oh Adam..”
Slowly his eyes open toward the bright skies.
Unknowingly he touches his side. Something must have happened while he was asleep.
Down by the stream he hears the delighted glee of a strange creature. He takes a peek from behind the shrubs growing close by. The sight that meets his eyes stuns him. Emotions well up inside him. As if drawn by a magnetic force he finds himself walking -almost stalking this latest addition.
Startled by his movement the Being turns and sees the puzzled yet fascinated expression on her onlookers face. She reaches down to scoop a hand full of sparkling water. Slowly she sips it keeping her eyes fixed on him. Without a second thought she reaches down again, this time she holds her dripping hands towards him as she offers him a drink.
An overwhelming feeling grasps Adam as he gazes down on this most lovely person named Eve! He smiles at her, but turns away quickly.
How can he welcome her, the crown of the creation?
Bending in the breeze the wild flowers remind him of her beauty. Each flower releasing the sweetest scent.
Adam approaches his newly found treasure and with sincere admiration offers her the bunch of flowers. Her countenance lights up as she accepts her first gift. She smells deep into the aroma, with eyes shut tight. Her gesture arouses more emotions in Adam. The need to care for and provide, to sustain her as a whole, to always secure the knowledge of his unconditional love!
Spontaneously she approaches him while she smiles at him with a grateful hug. She leans against his masculine body, his heart beat close to her own. She finds her place on earth. Here close to his heart, where his rib used to be.
Slowly he bends down and gives her a kiss of love. His hairy cheek brushing against her smooth, soft, delicate face.
They look into each others eyes, and the Maker smiles unseen...
“Uhh“, He says.. “Romance is born...”
