Great men (and women) before me have written unparalleled prose in praise of your name. They have composed ageless, inspiring songs in your honor and produced award-winning movies depicting your might and grace throughout the ages.
I do not have the same level of ingenuity, neither is my creativity anything to write home about.
Yet this will not stop me from broadcasting my gratitude for your unswerving grace in my life.
Father, allow me to talk about how you have brought me to this place, where there is life and joy, when not so long ago, sin made me slave.
Let me tell of the countless times you snatched me from death’s jaws, leaving the enemy impotent.
Lord, I want to share the triumphs I have attained in my life not because of my efforts or schooling, but because you gave your ‘okay’, regardless.
My creator, I am alive today because of your unfailing grace. Thank you for considering me worthy enough to preserve my life. Thank you for allowing me to see these blessed days when my spirit is sentient to you.
Lord, there were numerous occasions you could have taken this frail life, yet you spared me. Even when I was not even remotely aware that you were keeping me alive, your steady hand was in my life.
I realize now that I really kept you busy, Lord. I will never know how many times, in your determination to keep me alive, you aborted all those countless injurious endeavors I undertook.
Lord, only you could do that.
I am aware of it all now. And I pledge to bring you glory and honor in all I do. May my family, neighbors, friends, relatives, workmates and the world see your glory in me.
I am here now, Lord. Give me the courage and zeal I need to further your ministry. I thank you for what you are doing in my life and joyously await your command as you unveil your plan for my life.
Thank you, from the bottom of my heart,
Your fearfully and wonderfully made child.
