Why did I spend so many years with my head buried in books? I have read on average two hundred fifty books per year. All of them were novels and quite useless as mind-broadening information. (Although I can think of about four hundred thirty ways to kill someone and fool everyone in the entire state; or at least four hundred and thirty ways that worked in some novel!). And I am quite familiar with the wealthy English landowner lifestyle. This information is also very useful and impacts my life daily.
But about four years ago I discovered the Bible. Well, that was a horse of a different color. You can really get lost in that book. It is indeed a never ending story. In fact, I feel as though the story is still swirling around me as I write this. And then I read a bunch more books that were about the Bible. And I had to find my way through all their various belief systems and find out what the Author of the Bible was saying to me. It truly is an inspirational, mind-broadening book (2Tim3:16). It truly is the never ending story.
