Cooking for one is a struggle each and every day,
For either I cook too much or not enough.
Cooking for one is my chance to prove my worth,
For a woman must know how to cook stuff.


Cooking for one isn’t hard, my married friend’s say,
It’s just a mix of this and a give it a stir.
Cooking for one it’s easier than cooking for more.
It’s not like you have children like her.


Cooking for one will not get me down this year,
For I resolve to press on and get out my pans.
Cooking for one let us see what I can muster.
For I know many meals can be bought in cans.


Cooking for one, how can I change my status?
It’s a great thought, but what should I do?
Cooking for one, how can I make it better?
It’s finding true love and cooking for two!

This was good. Interesting thoughts on the subject at hand, and written in an easy-to-understand form. There seems to be some kind of hang-up in the overall rhythm of it, though...some parts didn't "flow" quite as well as others. But definitely still a good piece.

At least if there are left-overs you can stick 'em in the fridge and eat leftovers as often as you want without anyone complaining! LOL! Good message and I know how you feel. ;-)

I like the repetition of "Cooking for one"--a good poetic device. Just a slight polish on the meter is all that's needed. This is both heartfelt and optimistic, very charming.

I liked the concept, cooking for one. It's a hard task to do. I know! Little bit of polishing needed, but great humor and thoughts.
