talking to Jesus is the best thing
but then there are those times
when you really need someone real
someone who will physically respond,
a Jesus with skin on
We all know people
who just seem different,
you may be that person
to someone else,
but we all know someone
who is obviously very close to Jesus,
so close that you can
hear, see, feel, smell
Jesus in them
coming from them,
a Jesus with skin on
I know someone like that,
although we have very limitted contact,
with him being on one side
of the country
and me being on the other,
we still manage to connect,
at least enough for me to tell
that he is
my Jesus with skin on
I can hear it in his voice
when we get the chance to call,
I can even read it
in the few emails I get,
he says what I need to hear
almost all the time,
I’d have to say I love him
almost as much as my parents,
He could never replace them,
he’s simply
my Jesus with skin on
