All of us might have admired our good Lord’s creations many a time. I love animals a lot. Whenever I admire an animal, I ask myself, “Why God has created this animal?” I strongly believe that He has a purpose in every creation, through which He also tries to teach us something. Jesus Himself referred to the animals, birds, flowers and trees when He taught the people.
When I was thinking about the honey bee, I was amazed by the lesson it teaches us. Let me explain it with a comparison table for our easy understanding.
HONEY – BEES CHRISTIANS
1. Their first and foremost task is to search for nectar from a vast number of flowers spread everywhere. So should we search and find our Lord God’s love which fills the earth.
Elohim – God is present everywhere.
2. When they find the nectar, they drink it and get filled. We Christians also shouldn’t stop after finding out His love, but should taste and enjoy that wonderful love.
3. After nourishing themselves, they return to their hives to bring out the processed nectar and store, which benefits not only their little ones, but also all the other living beings. Same as that, we also should exhibit His great love through our deeds, not only to our kith and kin, but also to all the others irrespective of any social barrier.
4. These insects are special only because of the “honey” in their name and actions. If they do not carry honey, they would be just “bees”. We are also glorified only by Him – “Christ” in and with us, otherwise we’re just another “human”.
Whichever creature is buzzing in your mind, process and send in a nut-shell.
