Previous Challenge Entry (Level 1 – Beginner)
Topic: Leadership (03/14/05)
I walking on a path up a big hill, when suddenly I felt my feet being knocked out from under me. I fell and rolled all the way back down to the bottom of the hill. Once again, I was going to have to start over. This had happened many times before and my patience was long gone. I was losing all hope of ever getting to the top. In an angry voice, I yelled to the sky, “Why is it that whenever I start to make some progress up this hill; I get knocked back down to where I started?!”

I then heard a voice say; “You were taking the wrong paths. I placed warning signs all along them, but you ignored my signs. So each time you went too far up the wrong path, I would have to bring you back down the hill.” I then saw a ray of light shining directly on a path that I hadn’t noticed and probably wouldn’t have taken even if I had. “This is your path….” The voice told me. I walked to the path and realized that this path was new and made me feel uneasy. When I looked up the path and hesitated, the voice said to me, “Just remember-if you ever lose your way, just stop and ask for directions. If you stick with this path, you will make it to the top.” I then held my head a little higher and began my journey on this new path; and immediately I felt a sense of peace deep within my heart.

I am trying to relate this to leadership. I guess it is the divine leadership that we forget to follow so bent we are on the human ones around us.

I can relate. I appreciate this article and I thank you for submitting it to FaithWrtiters.com It helps me to remember in this faith walk other brethren are having the same difficulties throughout the world.
