No, it’s my constant reminder of what he bore.
My cross he carried and my sins he wore.
He did it all to set me free.
Yes, on Calvary’s hill he paid the price
In his torn flesh with every lash
Sickness, diseases, and their holds he did smash
I have life now and have it twice as nice.
What greater love is there?
Than a man that lays down his life,
For a friend, even when there is strife
Please call me friend still, is my prayer.
This cross I wear with gratitude,
This cross I wear with pride
Knowing that He is on my side
This cross I wear is devoid of attitude.
Knowing that he suffered and died
So that I might live
For that I am appreciative.
And for what the shed blood provides.
Wearing the cross is a small thing
To show the world what I believe
I realize most cannot conceive,
Of the honor that wearing of the cross brings.
