Previous Challenge Entry (Level 1 – Beginner)
Topic: Vision (08/03/06)
“You’ve got some dirt in your eye. Let me get it out,” Chris said.

“No, I’m good. If I blink enough it’ll come out,” Maddy replied.

“Just let me squeeze some water on your eye. It looks painful,” Chris persuaded.

“Um… no thanks. I don’t really trust your aim,” Maddy took a step back.

“What’s not to trust? I’ve got perfect aim,” Chris took a step forward.

“What do you mean; you’ve got a log in your eye?” Maddy was quite unsure of him.

“A log in my eye? That’s absurd. How could there be a log in my eye? Here you should really let me help with that,” he reached for her eye.

“No, I’m fine. I think I got most of the dirt out. Why don’t you let me help you with that log? It looks quite painful,” Maddy reached for the log.

“No, please. It’s actually very comfortable,” Chris jerked his head back, smacking Maddy in the face with the log in the process.

“Ouch! That thing is a real danger. You should take it out; I’m sure you’d be much happier without it,” Maddy persisted.

“No! You can’t have my log! I’ll never give it up! Never,” Chris yelled.

“Calm down, please. I only want to help you. I know we can take it out and if you don’t like it we’ll put it back. No harm in trying,” Maddy persuaded.

“Well, um… I guess your right. I’ll take my log out but just for a minute,” Chris and Maddy tugged at the log so hard that when Chris came free the force knocked him on his back. He rose, very grumpy, “I don’t like this. I don’t li… hey! I can see. I can see everything!” Chris was jumping for joy, “thank you, Maddy, thank you. Now about that dirt in your eye.”

“No problem, I got it out when I was helping you,” Maddy said with a smile.

LOL!!
THis is hilarious - I think it really captures the humour and punch of Jesus' words. Really well done - one of my favourites this week.
My favourite line: '“Calm down, please. I only want to help you. I know we can take it out and if you don’t like it we’ll put it back. No harm in trying,” Maddy persuaded.'
