Before my eyes an ocean sparkles, clouds float by and flowers bloom...
Scenes so beautiful as to take your breath away...
The people around me so beautiful in all their emotion, intellect and uniqueness.
Before my eyes a baby smiles, a man proposes, and two friends talk into the night...
Scenes so beautiful as to bring tears to your eyes...
And yet...
The world around me so ugly in all its dirt and distress.
Before my eyes a storm destroys, a drought chokes and a disease kills...
Scenes so destructive as to take your breath away...
The people around me so devastated in all their need, sin and pain.
Before my eyes a child goes hungry, a father abandons his family and a government oppresses its people...
Scenes so heartbreaking as to bring tears to your eyes...
And yet....
God all around me so radiant in His infinite power and unending love.
Before my eyes healing hearts, saving souls, giving grace to the faint-hearted...
Scenes so powerful as to lift your spirit to the sky!
May my heart ever be fixed on the vision of the Lord almighty.
Before my eyes coming in power and in love...
Leaving in this world of contradictions scenes so inspiring as to make you dance and sing!
