My Husband and I have 7 married daughters, and 16 grandchildren. We live in Holland Michigan where the tulips are brilliant in color during May. Holland is also the home of the famous Tulip Parade. In 1990, I enrolled in the Institute of Childrens' Literature. Later I wrote an article which was accepted by the Upper Room, a daily devotional. I also submitted an article to our local newspaper, which was Published. Recently, in January, 2004, my article, "In the Garden" was published in VISIONS Christian Magazine. I am quite impressed with this writers group, and am so very glad a friend told me about it. . I attend Immanuel Bapist Church in Holland where the word of God is preached continually. It is a very warm church and His presence is definitely felt. Part of the year, we live in Florida, and attend a wonderful church there also, Crescent Beach Baptist Church. When in Florida, I love walking along the ocean, it refreshes my soul, and I seem to feel God's presence. In fact, I have written a poem about it. Faithwriters is an excellent site for beginning writers and well as experienced writers. The members here are real encouragers, and at the same time, they critique in a very loving way.
