Poetry

---

Have you screamed into the silence,
Knowing no-one would hear?
Have your cried into your pillow,
Yet denied you shed a tear?
Have you longed for some connection,
But then turned aside in fear?
Hold out your hand,
For Someone is standing near.

Have you tried to conquer sin,
But been felled by it instead?
Do you find that your soul hungers
But it’s your wants that will be fed?
Do you long to have new life,
But inside you’re cold and dead?
Hold out your hand,
And by His grace be lead.

He alone knows the sorrow
In the silence of the soul.
He alone has the power
To heal and make you whole.
He has wept over His children
And has felt their pain and fear;
Hold out your hand,
Your Redeemer is here.
