How it Feels(#2)

Well, let’s say, in the south, U.S.A.
Life is definitely different today
It’s five a.m., twenty-two degrees.F.
A heavy frost is all over the place

It’s on my many piles of leaves
that I have raked so diligently
My dog even dislikes
Getting his feet so cold; but he has to go

I put wood in the heater at night
Every three to four hours
But this morning after I put wood in
The heater door refused to close and lock

I sat and watched the orange and blue flames
Enjoying the warmth so many don’t have
It’s like having an open fireplace
But today I will get the heater door replaced

I have the door propped tight
With the shovel used to take up ashes
And a heavy roll of lead
Bracing the shovel with might

How does it feel?
I still feel blessed
God gives me the knowledge
How to handle these tests
