How God Blesses

I must confess
How God has blessed
Me in everyday life

I pray to Him
He answers swiftly
Last year I weighed 160 pounds


Today I weigh 121 pounds
But... God gives me strength
Four years I have been
A surviving cancer patient

One year ago, my husband died
One week after finding out
That he had stomach cancer

Now, I have to split some wood
Bring it in a wheel barrow
So I can have heat...in a wood heater

But when I read the net news
I consider myself... blessed
Compared to what others

In other countries are going through
Some live in refugee camps
Being raped, and have no sufficient food

So...I do my best to honor God
Try to help myself, and pray
For the others in the rest of the world

May God help
All people of the world
Hunger and cold

Is hard for humans
Of all races and beliefs
To cope with and live through.

May God look down and bless
Each human being
Who is still drawing...a BREATH
