Like a child

Children are a gift from our Heavenly Father,
And we could learn from them. If we would just pay close attention, we could learn from their behavior. At an early age children learn to trust their parents, in the same way our Heavenly Father expects us to trust Him. Children depend on their parents and we should depend on God in everything we do.

Children also learn to be obedient, as they are constantly learning, growing and developing. We must also be obedient to the word of God; if we are to learn,grow, and develope spiritually then we must remain in his word.

Children need discipline, it may hurt the parent to have to discipline their children, but it is very necessary. In the same way it hurts our Heavenly Father to decipline us, but it is necessary, and it is always out of love.

Parents have patience with their children, realizing that they will make mistakes along the way. God is very patient with us as we make mistakes over and over again, and He is always there to forgive us if we ask Him to.

Parents guide their children in the right path, so that the child’s future will be bright. God will place within all believers His Holy Spirit and He will direct us to His path of righteousness.

A child will come to a parent for advice to help them make the right choices, The same way God expects us to go to Him in prayer for each and every situation we encounter for His advice.

Parents love their children very much; children are the most precious part of the parent’s life. God loves us very much; He loved us so much that He came here in the flesh to see about us, and became a living sacrifice so that we could have eternal life.

What we expect of our children is not much different than what God expects of us
For as it is written: suffer unto me the little children and forbid them not for such is the kingdom of God.
