"All a man's ways seem innocent to him, but motives are weighed by the LORD." (Proverbs 16:02)
Sometimes we do things that seem to be honorable and right, yet there may be another motive for those actions. We may give to charity thinking that we are doing something noble, yet our real motive may be that we are seeking the approval of men. The LORD knows our true motives, and is interested in helping us move to pure motives and away from the cheap ones. If, in our actions, we seek the LORD's approval, and not man's, we will be on the right track.
