For over ten years you had been my bestfriend, my little buddy, my Elvis dog. I can still see you,running as fast as your short little legs could go, chasing those cats out of our yard.

Your crooked little smile would be the first thing to greet me in the mornings. You'd wag your curled up tail so hard when I came home at night, sometimes I thought it would fall off.

We shared so many good times, and some sad times.
I remember how you would lick my tears off my face when I cried, like you were saying its ok, I'm here for you.

You loved to ride in the car. Once you hung out the window to far and fell. I grabbed your leg and held on, until I could stop the car. After the scare was over, we all laughed at the thought of someone seeing us driving down the road with a little dog hanging out of the window by one leg.


Our happy times came to an end. You got sick and grew weaker everyday, as the cancer tore your life away. I knew it would not be long and I would have to find away to let you go.

On Febuary 3rd, 2001 we took our last ride togther. I wrapped you in your favorite blankey, and laid you in the front seat of my car.You could no longer hold your head up, but that little smile that I loved so was still there.

All the way to the vet's office I talked to you, and remembered all our good times. I thanked you for being such a loyal and loving little friend. I even sang to you.


As they took you in and laid you one the table, I held your paw in my hand, you smiled at me like you were saying thank you. They put the needle in and you closed your little eyes for the last time.

To this day I believe that you were sent to me by God above, he knew with me you would be more than loved.

Letting you go was one of the hardest things that I have ever had to do.

So goodbye my little Elvis dog, my bestfriend, my little buddy.
I miss you and I will always love you.
