Thought-provoking look at a sobering aspect of waiting. In response to some of the other comments about separating the voices, I believe you can italicize. This is done by putting, directly in front of the part you want in italics, an arrow bracket: < followed by the letter 'i', followed by another arrow bracket: > There are no spaces between any of these things. At the end of the part you want in italics, put the same command only this time with a '/' symbol just in front of the 'i'. I will put it here - but unsure of what will happen: start italics: ; end italics: ~ Violet

Holly, I like the idea behind your poem. So many people think there's no hurry ... they'll just wait a while. Great message. I wonder if there is any way to separate the speakers. I know you're limited in what you can do to format it. Can you indent one of the speakers? I don't think you can italicize. That would be ideal. If you can't Tab in for one speaker maybe you can use the space bar? It would just make it easier to understand who is speaking when. Good job. Donna

I hesitate to write a critique that isn't glowing, but if we really are to help each other, we should tell the truth. You have a good topic and I liked the conversation-style presentation. But you need to learn the difference between the meanings of the words "to" and "too" and a stronger ending would have been more effective. Also at the end, you changed the focus from the unsaved person to the speaker when you told what "I" said. Don't be discouraged; as I tell my students, "Babies crawl at first, but eventually they learn to walk and then to run." Keep writing; you'll get it!
