When things around you seem to be falling apart;
It's as though God left and there's a hole in your heart.

You used to feel His presence way down deep inside,
But now there's an emptiness that can't be denied.

What could have happened, He promised He'd never leave;
Written in His Word, but you must choose to believe.

Friend, in times like this we must always remember;
God's a flaming fire...or a smoldering ember.

The choice is ours...

If you can't feel Him beside you , just call His name,
And soon that burning ember will burst into flame.

Yes, He's always there and He never turns away,
When you can't feel His presence, then you've gone astray.

At times we let circumstances crowd the Lord out;
Then we loose focus and forget what life's about.

It's not the car that we drive and not where we live;
Real joy will only come when we learn how to give.

From now on when we feel like the Lord's turned away;
We must examine ourselves and then quickly say...

I'm so sorry, the problem has always been me;
So, Father, from now on help my blinded eyes to see.

I can't make it alone I need You by my side,
And from this moment on won't You, please be my guide.
