2nd Chance
Everyday is a 2nd chance
A second glance at something
Maybe you missed before
In life as the law of the universe
Nothing is ever truly lost, just changed
But in everything there is a cost
With every changing season,
All are beautiful in their time,
But can never be the same again,
Every rainbow arch, every drifting cloud,
Every wave, and every flower,
So enjoy each moment for what it is,
Today will never come again,
Nor yesterdays gone by,
No 2nd chances for the past,
For that’s just what they are
They’ve come and gone and we have to move on,
Or be haunted by “could have been”
And we move ahead to something better still…
Today!…
To live life, for all life’s worth
And remember to leave nothing to Regret
For measureless tears, over measureless years,
Are hollow company,
For you, for him, for her, for me.
They obscure our vision so we don’t see,
That every moment, every minute,
Is a mystery,
And every second that your in it
Is Something special, unique for you
Be true to that and don’t look back,
But be grateful for this lone moment you have
For I promise it will never come again,
There is no promise for the future,
The old or young, as life’s just begun,
Under the sun, there is nothing new,
Don’t dwell on yesterday or fret for tomorrow,
For who can tell you any more
then you already know,
But I say now, know your Heart,
Though it is deceitful above all things,
For It is worth knowing, for in it is the wellspring of life, and all happiness
Therefore guard it well.
Give your full heart to everything,
and you will live life to the full,
For every morning, when you stop and think
And it Dawns on you
As golden rays of hope just begin to crest,
Over the horizon a promise of what’s best,
And better days and brighter times
Every day is a Second chance
To see the splendor and beauty,
Before, you had missed
and adore in wonder the majesty of this moment,
That will never come again,
Though its been done Eternally before
and will do over and do over forever after,
But it only matters IF,….What IF?
You stop to chance, to glance, to see
All that now is and all that could be
Otherwise its just another day, gone by
But IT is the Reason,
Every time we wonder why…
