Dreams

At night when I lay down in bed
Visions start dancing in my head
Words and pictures now do combine
Showing me things that are divine

When flesh on earth does go to sleep
Into heaven we take a peek
World shut out, your mind is free
So many wonders you may see

Climb a mountain or swim the deep
So many things we do in sleep
Plan your future worry bout past
Some dreams I say can be a blast

You see I had a dream last night
I dreamed I walked in light so bright
When this voice called out to me
Asked what have you come to see?

It’s the Son of God I’ve come to see
This Jesus who hung at Calvary
I’ve read about Him in this book
I’ve come now please to take a look

I read death - could not hold Him in
For God had spoken He would win
So now I’ve come to seek Him please
I’m told my mind He’ll put at ease

Then I saw the man from Galilee
My Jesus who died for you and me
We sat right down and had a talk
Then with Him I got to walk

My fears and doubts He put to rest
He showed me I am truly blessed
I’ll never forget that dream you see
The night that Jesus walked with me
