Hungry

My soul was Oh so hungry
I could not get enough
I devoured books all night
I read all kinds of stuff

I looked for satisfaction
In all the words I read
But only discontentment
Is what my soul was feed

Then just at the crack of dawn
My soul still crying MORE
I grabbed up the next book
The last one on the floor

The next book was my Bible
My soul said feed me please
I found my satisfaction
My soul now is at ease

My soul no longer hungers
My soul no longer thirst
No longer will I wait so long
To God’s Word I now go first

God’s Word = a satisfied soul
