Prophecy

Scriptures:

“You shall worship the Lord your God, and Him only shall you serve” (Deut.6:13). Romans 1:25, “Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshiped and served the creature more (rather) that the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen.

John 4:23-24, “But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshipers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeks such to worship Him. 24-God is a Spirit: and they that worship Him must worship Him in spirit and in truth.” ==============
DREAM:
==============
In this dream, there was a group of people who were enticing other people to come into what seemed like an organization. I had the impression that it was a rather large organization who had the power to seduce people to come and be a part of them. At this point in the dream, I wasn’t sure what this organization was.

But it was obvious that they were diligently going after the people from all walks of life. I saw them reach out to those who were passing by as well as to those who were hanging out near them. They seemed to be going all out to lure the passers-by into their organization. As I saw them reach out, their arms reminded me of the tenacles of an Octopus trying to wrap around you (binding, captivity, false religion).

The faces of those in this organization, I could see were smiling faces. They had the appearance of friendliness but yet, it didn’t seem quite real. I sensed an evilness lurking behind the smiles. I seemed to know that if these innocent people were successfully drawn into this organization, it would mean distruction to them in some way (John 10:10).

I couldn’t hear what the organizational people were saying to the people they were reaching out to. I had the impression that they were offering them anything they wanted if they would just come into this organization. For coming into it, they could have fame, fortune, notoriety, position, etc. Also, I heard the word ‘worship’ (Luke Chapter 4---Jesus, being tempted of Satan in the wilderness was offered all of the world if He would only bow in worship to him).

In the dream, I was standing off to the side somewhere observing what was going on. I wasn’t seen because I was watching and observing it all from a distance. And though from outward appearances of what I was seeing, it all looked friendly and attractive, but yet I knew there was something very wrong about what was taking place.

Finally, the revelation came to me and I knew. Once I knew what was going on, I came out of my observation place and walked over to the people doing the seducing. With authority and boldness, I pointed the forefinger of my right hand at them and said, “I know who you are! I know what you are! You’re Prostitution!” The Lord spoke to me then in the dream and said, “The Babylonian spirit.” The dream ended.

THE BABYLONIAN SPIRIT:

It means, harlot, prostitute, false religious system, power. The Lord let me know that just as there is natural prostitution, there is also ‘spiritual prostitution.’ Israel committed spiritual prostitution/adultery by worshiping other gods. This included the priest, kings and prophets who were guilty of it.

The people I saw being enticed and seduced to come into this organization were not the people of the world. They’re already in this organization. The people I saw passing by and hanging out and being enticed were God’s people. Those who profess to be a part of the body of Christ but who are straddling the fence.
(those not totally committed and sold out to God, those who can easily be swayed by ever wind of doctrine because they‘re not rooted and grounded in God‘s love and His Word. Those who are in the valley of decision).
As I sought the Lord for the meaning of all of this, it was quickened to me that it has to do with ‘worship.’ I heard the Lord say, “There is a spirit of prostitution in the church.”
I asked, “Lord, what does this mean? A spirit of prostitution in the church?” He let me know that one of the main areas that this is happening is in prophetic ministry and worship. There is the true order of God in this but there is also the false order of satan. Lets look at some meanings of the words given.

PROSTITUTE: To sell (compromise) one’s talent (or gifts and calling) for an unworthy purpose.
Prostitute in front + [or, ‘of’] stature, cause to stand.

(Some of the unworthy purposes of gifts and callings would be for example, prophets being paid $ for giving a word of prophecy, or the making of an unholy aliance with an unrighteous and unholy church who is out for self gain. Bad covenant making won’t bring blessings from God. They will put you under a curse).

STATUE : (Latin--statuere)--“A form or likeness, sculped, modeled or cast in material such as bronze, clay, or stone, [figurine]. Set up.

STATUTE: (latin) Statuere. Establish. Status [high standing, prestige, position].

Strongs Concordance--Hebrew word, chalal (khaw-lal’)for prostitute--“to profane [a person, place or thing], to break [one’s word], to begin [as if by an ‘opening wedge’], defile, pollute, profane [self], prostitute, stain.”

PROFANE: Irreverence for what is sacred. To put to an improper, unworthy, or degrading use. Abuse (to use wrongly or improperly-to hurt or injure by mistreatment, perversion, bring reproach). Pollute, dishonor, violate (dictionary).

All of this comes right back to ’worship of idol’s’ instead of worship of the true God. Babylon was famous for their harlotry. And this idol worship is mainly for the idol of ‘self’ just as it’s always been from the very beginning in the Garden of Eden. And just as it’s always been throughout the Bible, God always deals with the ‘Leadership’ first. Case in point, Moses on the mountian with God, being purified himself, as well as receiving God’s message for the people. David out in the fields tending the sheep and later in the caves, being trained to become king and lead God’s people.

After Paul’s conversion on the road to Damascus, he spent the next fourteen years being trained and receiving God’s message for His people. And what about Jesus? He spent thirty years in preparation and being trained as the Living Word for God’s people. Then, when Jesus began His ministry, He always dealt with His leaders first, instructing and teaching them to preach the gospel, cast out demons, heal the sick and so on.

And above all, they were to be more glad that their names were written down in heaven than rejoicing in any earthly status they might obtain. And how about the 120 leaders Jesus sent to wait in Jerusalem to be empowered from on high so they could carry His message to people in power and demonstration? (Acts 1:8).

Again, He was dealing with leadership and after the day of Pentecost, those leaders went out to the streets and preached Christ in the boldness and power of the Holy Ghost. They had got past self-worship and wanting the worship of other’s. They had died to ‘self’ and now they only wanted to bring glory to God by preaching nothing except Christ and Him crucified. They went forth exalting the name of Jesus above all else. ‘And they loved not their lives unto the death’ because dead men (dead to fleshly carnal nature) don’t desire man’s worship. Therefore, worship goes to the One to whom it belongs. It goes to the One Who is worthy to be praised and worshiped. All praise, honor and glory goes to the Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of the living God.

WORD FROM THE LORD:

As I got before the Lord to seek for further understanding of the dream, the Holy Spirit began to speak:

“Many of My leaders, from the smallest to the biggest, worship their titles and positions in the Church more than they worship Me. Some of them I have truly called, and some of them I have not called. There are those who have either called themselves or they have allowed someone else to convince them that I have called them to My ministry.

Many of My leaders are standing behind the titles of Apostles, Prophets, Evangelists, Pastors and Teachers, and they are prostituting My gospel. They are prostituting worship because they want to be the object of the people’s worship. With their lips they claim to point the people to the worship of Jesus. They claim to call My people to worship Me, but in their hearts, they want the worship of the people for themselves.

Many of My leaders in ministry are not leading My people to true worship of Me. They are more concerned with their titles and positions. They are more concerned with how many people are following them instead of how many people are following Me.

I’ve stood at the door and I’ve been waiting for My people to invite Me to come into the Church and be the Head and them be the body. Many are trying to build. They think they’re building the house of the Lord. They think they are building the Kingdom, but “unless the LORD builds the house, they labor in vain that build it (Psalm 127:1).

I’m the Master Builder, and I have been waiting for My people to come into (covenant) partnership with Me. To get their directives from Me, instead of out of their own reasoning. I have been waiting for them to allow Me to impart into their spirits My plans and blueprints for My Kingdom. After all, it is My Kingdom. But a lot of My leaders and ministers tend to think sometimes that the Kingdom belongs to them.

This is where the light of the false glory blinds their eyes. The true light of My glory opens the eyes of your understanding and you’re able to see clearly who works for Who. In My Kingdom, there is no confusion but rather there is righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Ghost.

I send people forth equipped to carry out My purposes and plans for the establishing of My Kingdom in the earth. But they have got to get in My face (Moses spoke with God face to face). They have got to get with Me. They have got to listen to Me and tune everything else out. They have got to drop their titles, drop who they are positionally in this world. Who they are in Me is more important.

It doesn’t matter what people may think of them. It matters what I think of them. Therefore, they have got to get before Me in humility, dropping all pride because they are nothing without Me. I am the one who made them who and what they are, and it will be Me who takes them where they need to go. It will be Me who determines how high they are to go in My Kingdom.

They have got to get My plans and My strategies for success. If they don’t, then their kingdom will fall. With or without you, My Kingdom will stand forever. My purposes will be accomplished in the earth, but I came to partner with man. I came into this earth realm because I wanted to have partners.

I wanted to have fellowship with man so I made covenant with a man called Abraham. But before Abraham was, I AM, and it is with Me that I ask My people to go into partnership with. I long to have My people to come and fellowship with Me. To spend time with Me. To want ME. To come and have no agenda. To have nothing on your minds except ‘Me’ and a desire to come into My presence and spend time with Me.”

WHO DO WE WORSHIP?

As I’ve been reading through the Old Testament again, I could see even more clearly how God wanted the worship of His people but they kept prostituting themselves and committing spiritual adultry by running after other god’s to worship. Thus, the golden calf Aaron made for them while Moses was up on the mountain of God receiving God’s message, the law of the Ten Commandments for them.

You need to understand that God likens His relationship with the Church to a marriage, although at this point, the Church of Jesus Christ had not been birthed yet. And wouldn’t be until Jesus went to the cross and shed His blood. But God had made covenant with the people of Israel, which is what marriage in the natural is between the two agreeing parties involved. It’s a covenant.

And in the natural, if either covenant partner in the marriage goes after and joins themselves with another person, they’ve committed adultry. They’ve been unfaithful by substituting their spouse for someone else. They have, if only momentarily, exalted the other person above the one they’re married to. In a sense, the one covenant partner, has given a form of ‘worship’ to the person they’re commiting adultry with by believing that person to be greater than their marriage partner.

In the spiritual sense, this is the same thing for the Church when we’ve put things, ourselves and others above God. We’ve committed spiritual adultry. We’ve prostituted ourselves to run after dieties of our own making and we deem them to be greater than God almighty. Those dieties that we can worship besides ourselves can be our spouse, children, our jobs and careers, schooling, college degrees, business, money and things, entertainment, recreation, etc.

Whatever gets more attention in our lives than God means we’ve removed him from first place in our heart. By doing so, we’ve given our worship to something or someone else other than to the one true God of the universe. The great God Jehovah! And in the first of the Ten Commandments, God stated very clearly, “Have no other god’s before Me.” Now, thats plain and simple enough for anybody to understand.

So, over and over again, you can see as you read throughout the Old Testament how God’s people continually forsook the one true God and ran after other god’s to give their worship to. They prostituted themselves and commited spiritual adultry against God. And because of their rebellion and infidelity, many times as not, they suffered great loss at the hands of their enemies. The same thing happens to us when we do as they did and we can’t figure out why. God didn’t want to see His people destroyed. He wanted them to come back to Him and stay under the covering of His loving protection and blessing. He doesn’t want any less for us, His present day Church.

God wanted them to repent and turn from their wicked ways. He wanted them to turn from their uncleanness so He could heal and restore them. In order for this to happen, the people of Israel would need to come with their whole hearts to the God of their deliverance. They would need to come giving their worship to the God who had freed them from Egypy---a world of sin and bondage. I ask you, how different is it for the Church today in regards to idol worship and our worship of God from what it was then in their day? As we mentioned earlier, it’s not any different. The times may have changed over thousands of years but the wickedness of man’s heart has not changed (Jeremiah 17:9-10).

Through the blood of Jesus Christ, we’ve been delivered out of the darkness of our spiritual Egypt, which is a type of the world (Colossians.1:11-13). And we‘ve been translated over into the Kingdom of God‘s dear Son, Jesus. Isn’t that reason enough to give our worship to the God of OUR salvation? And not give it to other god’s, whatever they are in our lives individually? Yes, amen.

Jesus is worthy of ALL our praise and worship. He doesn’t deserve just a ‘little dab’ll do ya’on Sunday morning so we can look real spiritual in front of everybody at church. No, no, that won’t do. God is looking for true worshiper’s, giving true worship to Him from hearts burning with passion for no other but ‘Him.’ Praise, honor and worship is due the Lord God Almighty---Creator of heaven and earth, Who inhabits the praises of His people.
