The devil is a little man
And dwells in little hearts
Unforgiving, petty hearts
Are perfect for a start!

The devil is a little man
Large hearts give him a chill
The space in loving, tolerant hearts
His tiny frame can't fill!

You want to kick the devil out?
Enlarge your heart, I pray
Be rid of anger, rage and wrath
He'll have nowhere to stay!
