Politics
Over the past two years I’ve submitted view points into this Christen World of literature. These submissions have been rewarding and a blessing for those who’s lives are fulfilled through Christlike works. This morning, I reviewed a few Politic articles in the “what’s new” category. One highlighted salient viewpoints of the VT shooting and how America Media blamed the horrific event on gaps in our societal processes. You know, pass the buck syndrome. Another author wrote on negativity, relating to every-day-life, seen through movies and heard in some of our music. Clearly, the wrong media bombardment is the pathway to a dysfunctional culture of hate. I long for the days where good acting and lyrics highlight the content of character without defaming the self esteem of others.
I find life on this planet strange and dishearten. I keep reading the words in the New Testament where Jesus explains the Kingdom of Heaven is like a dragnet cast into the sea, which gathers fish of every kind; and once the net has been filled, it’s placed onto the beach; where the good fish is placed into containers, but the bad fish is throwaway. If you think for a minute the events at VT won’t happen again, you’re wrong. Before the events at Waco, there was Jim Jones in Guiana. Less we forget the things of this world shall fall by the waste side. We need to stay awake in a purpose driven life and deliver Good News about our Lord Jesus Christ. Sure, we can comment as to why the Media or Politicians present their viewpoints. The children of God’s Kingdom are not of this world. We are nomads learning to deal with the things of this world. Deal in a sense we know tearing down character is unrighteous, but uplifting ones from spiritual oppression is a good Sumatran. The children of God’s Kingdom understand, evil is in the world but our protection is Jesus Christ. Sometimes all we can do is stand. Stand for Righteousness, Peace and Love.
The sign of this time should lead us to Palms 23. During David’s time on the run, from Saul or his Son was a time of despair. We the Saints shall take comfort in Palms 23:4 “Even when I walk through the dark valley of death, I will not be afraid, for you are close beside me. Your rod and your staff protect and comfort me”.
Remember, we are the branch of the vine and as we latch unto His unfailing Love He will not abandon us.
