Lord, Why?

Lord, why are You so good to me?
You love me after all I have done
I cannot fathom such mercy for me
Though I am sinner You sent Your Son

Lord, why do You show favor to me?
Don't You see how wicked I've been?
I can not grasp the love You have for me
And yet Your Son took on all my sin

Lord, why do You give this love to me?
My soul is nothing, filthy rags no less
I don't understand why this is done for me
But still by Your grace it is me You bless

Brothers and Sisters,

Do I really need to elaborate on this? I know me well enought to know what I deserve. I know God well enough I know what I have been given. Earning death I was given Life. Praise God.

God bless.

In Christ,
Christian

Christian, this is what I find myself saying to God often: 'I feel, that I'm so far from you lord, but still I hear you calling me...'. It goes to show that in our state of imperfection God can and will use us. As long as we are willing to be used and make ourselves available to Him, he can and will use us for the furtherance of His Kingdom. Isn't that beautiful and in that time He's perfecting us. I love this man with my all and will always pursue HIS will. Thank you for sharing this with us and know that He is using you. Stay blessed.

Christian - This is an awesome poem. It made my heart swell with gratitude to God also. As our preacher always says: "Ain't God good"! Thanks for the blessing of your fine poetry. In Christ,

Julia

Christian, this is a very wonderful poem. I love it, for it speaks so truly of God's mercy and love.
