Bread of Fellowship

Thank God for the bread called fellowship
Another blessing from Our Father we worship
Provision of His Bread, The Word, day by day
By fellowship we are nourished in the same way

I am so thankful for God's Daily Bread
From His Living Word our souls are kept fed
Wisdom and knowledge God has freely given
To sustain us until we are called to heaven

The Body of Christ is such a precious gift
To give each body member a spiritual lift
As we each serve our specific funtion and part
We are bonded together by Christ's loving heart

So of this wonderful fellowship we each partake
A gift of love this bread together we break
Thank Our Father for His endless love and grace
In the spirit of fellowship we gather in this place



Brothers and Sisters,

I wrote this in Great Lakes after the Lord put a brother in my path. Nick runs the Sailors For Christ ministry on the base in conjuction with Campus Missions. They are such a tremendous blessing. We met at their Friday fellowship called ConneXion. It is a group Bible discussion and was very enjoyable.

One evening Nick called me to fellowship over a meal. He said he needed the blessing, but I think I was more blessed by it. We shared a meal together and hung out at the fellowship hall.

I wrote this that evening and gave it as a token of my appreciation for what he has done for so many people and for me.

I wanted to share it with you all because we have become such a close family and this fellowship is also a great blessing that helps nourish me on my spiritual growth.

God is so precious and wonderful to allow us this privledge of Christian fellowship. Not only do we get to glorify, praise, and worship God in this manner. But we get to interact with the Body of Christ. How can it get any better I am tempted to ask, but then I think "infinitly" better some sweet day.
