It seems like very often
I send a little card on its way;
sometimes it's just to say 'hello',
or else to mark someone's special day.

So I thought I would make
an imaginary card to send to you;
and design it with all that's in my heart,
with pictures and words that are so true.

There would be a heart on the front,
just one - for it would be mine;
and painted a lovely shade of pink,
with silky ribbons all entwined.

Inside I'd write with a silvery pen,
the words that remain the same, but are ever new,
that so poorly express how much I feel,
when I write that "I LOVE YOU!"

Down at the bottom, I'd put "Xs" and "Os"
for virtual kisses and hugs I'd send for you
and then fill it up with all that words cannot say,
the joys and blessings that are never too few.

I'd put it in an envelope of bliss,
and stamp it with the postage of love,
and send it straight into your heart,
what a joy you are, my gift from above!
