How To Live A Stress Free Life
Do you always feel that you never get through everything that you do? There are always people to see. Letters to write. Plans to be made and then there is all the moving about. As fast as a space begins to appear it is immediately filled up with something else which is important.
Deep within your heart you want to have time to pray but there is always something else to be done. Whenever you make a resolution about something it is broken as soon as you begin. This situation could lead you to burnout, anxiety and frustration.
When you reach this point you surely need a break. Take time off your busy schedule and spend quality time waiting on the Lord.
The world is polluted with spiritual fog and you will need to stay free from it. Ask Him to help you to put Him first in your life for those who wait upon the Lord have their strength renewed.
The following five keys will keep stress and anxiety at bay from your life.
Your first key is to acknowledge God as your source and provider. Do not try to do things your own way. That doesn’t work.
You will need to be patient and trust in the Lord even when it seemed as if there were no doors opening. There may be times that you may not see an immediate improvement but be content knowing that God is in control and wants the best for you.
Your second key is to rejoice in the Lord always. The primary source of your joy is God. He wants to be the source of your joy. God is big enough to meet every need of yours.
Your third key is to cultivate a spirit of gentleness and remove anxious thinking. Anxiety is rooted in fear. What controls your thinking has you. Remember that God has not given you the spirit of fear but of power, love and a sound mind.
Let go of those anxious thoughts by casting all your anxiety and cares upon the Lord for He cares for you. (1 Peter 5:7).
Your fourth key is to develop a meaningful prayer life. Jesus won His battle in prayer before going to the arena of life. It can be an ongoing relationship with Him on daily basis. Time spent in God’s presence is always well spent and you will reap the reward. Remember that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him and one word from God could change your circumstance.
Your fifth key is to learn to give thanks always. Prayer without thanksgiving is like a bird without wings. It has the substance, but cannot soar. This will also help stop “crisis praying”.
Finally you should allow the peace of God to rule in your heart and garrison your mind. The peace of God is the most precious commodity you will need.
Peace should stand like a watch guard over your life because your heart is you. (Psalm 29:11).
God bless!
