Encouragement
What Is In Your Hand?
I take great encouragement from the story of Moses. He was a man with great poor self-image, lacking in confidence, and suffering from a speech impediment.
Though chosen by God to deliver his people from Egypt, Moses questioned God about his choice and even pleaded with Him to use someone else.
How many times have we said that very same thing to God?
We sometimes lose sight of the fact that God would never ask us to do anything He had not first equipped us to do. God assured Moses that He would be with Him.
How much more reassurance do we need than this?
Be yourself and follow your heart. Do not surrender your God given opportunity/gift to your insecurity.
God asked Moses, “What is in your hand?” God wanted him to state the obvious to show him that he already had all he needed. The staff was only a piece of wood, yet God used it to do supernatural works.
Whatever our natural ability, if the power of God enters it the consequences will be supernatural. We need to cease doing things in our own strength and depend on His anointing to accomplish what He has called us to do.
Remember we can do all things through Christ who strengthens us.
Child of God, I encourage you to use your God given gift to the best of your natural ability and expect God to supernaturally do the rest.
If you hold your gift too tightly for fear of what others may think, it will become stale and effective. But if you raise that gift to God with open hands and release it to Him, He will bless it and send doors of opportunity your way.
Overcome your fear and insecurity, seize it with both hands and rise to the challenge knowing that the God of all Heaven is with you.
Don’t rely on your own strength but draw on the anointing of God. Whatever is in your hand use it to the glory of God.
With God on your side you are always on the winning side.
God bless!
