Have your ever been to a nightclub getting your party on?
And the DJ stopped the music saying the song was just too long.

Can you recall going to a concert, and you are up swaying to the beat?
Someone coming on the mic, saying it's time to take your seat.

See those things would never happen, for when you're partying who cares about time.
You'd stay out all night long, and sometimes spend your very last dime.

So why is it in our churches, the denomination I will not mention?
The spirit is quenched, and sometimes halted for all those man made traditions.

There is a time and place for everything, so pinch me if I'm wrong.
I thought the church was a place where Christians go to get their praises on.

I know the main attraction is a message in the Word.
But cutting off the spirit for the church announcements is working on my nerve.

When the Holyghost enters your church, let it have it's way.
Some of your congregation may need it to make it through the day.

Most of your scheduled rituals bore your poor visitors to sleep.
Let the Holyghost hit them, they'd probably show up for service next week.

We enter into his gates with praises and thanksgiving.
Someone may hear your praises and find a new reason for living.
