" Don't jump" Mark said as Bobby took a step toward the edge. " I'll make a pact with you if you don't jump" Mark said as he moved closer to Bobby. " What do you mean a pact" Bobby said as he moved backwards toward the edge. " If you don't jump, I will help you get your life together and also I will check out this Jesus you follow" Mark said as he looked directly at Bobby. " Deal" Bobby said as he reached out his hand to his best friend.

Mark knew that one more step, Bobby was going to fall off the ledge. " Bobby, take my hand and let's go back inside" Mark pleaded with his friend. " OK" Bobby said with a tired voice, emotionally drained from this whole situation. As Bobby moved forward and took Mark's hand, Bobby slipped on some loose concrete and fell backwards as he hung onto Mark's hand for dear life. " Bobby, do not let go of my hand, promise" Mark said as he strained from the weight of Bobby. " I promise" Bobby said as he silently prayed to God to save him. ' God give me strength' Mark silently prayed as he slowly lifted his friend up to the ledge.
