Mark said to Bobby " how could a Christian get involved with a horrible thing like addiction". " It started when I was young with penny poker which was innocent enough" Bobby said as he started to remember the past. " My friends and I played poker all the time and it was fun even though sometimes you won and sometimes you lost" Bobby said. " How come you didn't quit right away" asked Mark as he slowly crept toward the open window.

" Because the more I did it, the more it became a part of my life" Bobby said. " In ninth grade, I became a Christian, enjoyed Luther League and was active at church but my addiction had become such a natural part of my life, I kept doing it" Bobby said. " During high school, I was doing my addiction with my friends for not much money yet so it was still innocent" Bobby said. " After high school, it was like the floodgates for my addiction went open and my downward spiral began" Bobby said. " During this time, you never thought about quitting" Mark said as he sat on the edge of the open window without Bobby noticing him.

"From the time I was 19 till 26 when I got married, I was the ultimate prodigal son and did not go to church very often and kept doing my additction", Bobby said.

"Right before I got married I started going to casinos and lost a lot mroe than I won and spent more than I earned at work" Bobby said as he started to shed a few tears. "When I got married I still kept doing my addiction and could not hold down a job so my wife basically supported me for years", Bobby said. "So now years later, my wife is thinking of divorcing me, my career is over because of my addiction and now I'm going to jump", Bobby said as he stood up on the ledge to jump. Mark jumped out the open window and stood next to his friend.
