Marriage

Yesterday as I took my walk in the soft summer morning air, it suddenly occurred to me that beauty was everywhere!

By my feet was the grass growing so green, and flower planted by the sidewalks, and the crape myrtles in bloom with such bright pink blossoms, and I wanted to gather it all up to share with you.

The flowers all nodded as if in agreement as I thought, "God put all this here for me".... and the best thing of all was I have you to share it with, how wonderful this world can be.

I walked before, in the time before I met you, but the walks didn't seem so full of joy, and I didn't notice each little living thing; for I had no one to tuck each little sight into my heart to share, no one to tell how my heart sings.

Walking back then was just for the exercise, something I did each day, now its an adventure to discover what's there, what little joys in today’s path will lay.

And most of the joy is in the remembering to tell you what I saw, the pretty flowers there, the funny houseboat sitting on the river there, word-pictures that for you I could draw.

I thank God for the beauty He's put in the world, for us to discover each day anew, but most of all I thank Him for the best thing of all, that I get to share them all with you!
