As I sit in the place of Your presence
Your peace upon my soul
And I marvel at Your amazing love
And realize that You have made me whole

I think upon my life to date
And see mistakes I have made
Failures and troubles all abound
And living within a shade

A lifetime of selfishness and greed
Have I lived in bitter shame
Pride and anger residing in my heart
Ever living within my name

But somewhere through it all
Somehow beyond time and sin
You looked at me and chose my life
Took my hand, called me friend

I wonder why You would do such a thing
Why You would die for me
Why You would choose such a life
Loosing my shackles, setting me free

And so I sit in the place of Your presence
Your peace upon my soul
And I marvel at Your amazing love
And realize that You have made me whole
