I got a package yesterday, delivered right to my door, and even though I knew what was inside, I couldn't have anticipated opening it any more!

There was just something about that package wrapped up and sent just to me, that made it special, a treasure unseen, full of things I had yet to see.

Each day is a package delivered just like that, all wrapped up and addressed just to you and me, and inside is the gift of hours and minutes, to become what God wants us to be.

Along with the hours packed tightly in the box, are smaller packages tucked there and there, for us to take out and use as we want, packed with love and put into our care.

There is love in the package, for each hour is filled with that, first from God to us, and then us to give to each other, the best gift that is meant to last.

There is joy in there, and happiness and laughter, smiles and kisses and hugs to share, all packed in the box to take out when we please, little gifts to show each other how much we care.

Hope is tucked in there, and dreams that we have, and discoveries yet to be made, all waiting for us to come and take them out, treasures that will never fade.

It takes all day long to unpack that little box, to use up what the day will bring, and the special joy is knowing that when tomorrow dawns, we'll have another box to open, full of new treasures and beautiful things.

My heart fills with joy and thanksgiving to God, for the care that He lavishes on us two, to give us these gifts every day to share, the wonder of this love so deep and true.
