This past week we had a most wonderful surpise. Some relatives from Canada came by and stayed with us for three days. During their visit we discussed many things. While they we were here I took them to Colorado Springs to see the Garden of the Gods and some other interesting sites.

While we are at the visitor's center we attended a short film titled, " How the Garden of the Gods was Created." During the viewing of the film, I had to literally contian myself from laughing out loud. I won't get into all the scientific malarky they discussed about evolution and an ocean once being in the middle of Colorado Springs. However, when we departed our cousins husband asked," Isn't it interesting how they discovered all the activity that took place here over five million years ago?" As I looked at him with a smile, he went on to say, " And just think about it. Once there was an ocean here!" I gently replied, " The bible says that the entire earth was covered by water several thousand years ago, therefore it is not surprising to me that they have discoverd shark teeth and fish bones in the top of these sand formations. He suddenly looked at me with serious conviction and answered, " Jane, I think you are right. That makes a lot of sense."

We spoke for a little about the “theory” not fact, of evolution. It brought to memory something I had heard in recent days. “If man evolved from monkeys and apes, why do we still have monkeys and apes?”

When I think of how we – being man, were created with such love and compassion, you’ll just have to excuse me for being a little perturbed at some of sciences surmountable idiocy. We are the only one in all of God’s creation that He created in His image.

“God created man in His own image, in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them.” (Genesis 1:27)

After reading this do you still believe you are a monkey’s uncle? As a young child in science class, I too believed the evolutionist gurus. Being raised in a non-Christian family, I had never heard of the creation account written in the bible. But as I listen to science explain the formation of how life began, beginning with the “big bang” theory, I thank God that He instilled in me the simple faith to comprehend and trust Him at His Word. I do not question the Word of God. He has proved His Word over and over to me. He has remained steadfast and consistent.

As I study the Word of God it is very easy for me to connect the dots. Try doing that with men’s scientific theories and convincing analogies. Somehow they always fall short. Of course that is prophetic in itself as we read Gods’ very own Word, “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” (Romans 3: 23). Some are relunctant to search for the answers to life's solutions in God's Word. These people are those who vainly look into the wind for life's solutions. Still doubt? Well don’t believe me, believe God. Take a moment and ask Him for yourself. After all, I have heard that God answers all knee mail.
