Written 4-19-05

Feeling torn down
And so misbegotten;
Almost lost,
And eternally forgotten.

So many claim
A gift of great sight;
Claiming conviction,
They alone stand right,
To the point of
Dire separation;
Their own words
Reap condemnation.

They twist and turn,
Your Word to their favor;
Blasphemies abound,
Against their own Savior.

This one cannot turn,
Except to You;
For majestic wisdom,
For You, to renew.
Let me not look
To Your Word, to be droll;
As with a contract,
For hidden loopholes.

I thank You, Lord,
I have Your Spirit;
Your power helps me,
For the truth to hear it.
I thank You, my God
I have Your guidance;
I have Your wisdom,
It is Your romance.





Author's Note:
Something I noticed one time as I was reading my Bible: If found myself looking for loopholes, as if it was a contract where one could find errors, or a way I could get around what it told me to do. Sorry, M0ofie, there is no such thing as a loophole in the Word of God.

Then it later seemed to me many other Christians were doing the same thing. Maybe it was only me, but it brought me down, and I wrote this.

BTW, I don't feel like this anymore.
