Jesus and us his followers came to Capernaum and immediately some tax men came up to me and asked me a question. The tax men said to me " does your Teacher pay taxes". I looked at these men and said " of course". Jesus confronted me " Simon, what do you think? when a king levies taxes who pays his children or his subjects?". Jesus looked right at me and I replied " his subjects". Jesus said to me " then the children get off free, right? but so we don't upset them needlessly, go down to the lake, cast a hook and pull in the first fish that bites, open it's mouth and you'll find a coin, take it and give it to the tax men, it will be enough for both of us".
