GOD RESTED. WHAT ABOUT YOU?
Hard work builds, but inadequate rest breaks. Hard work doesn't kill, but stress does. Stress or rest, who is in charge of your life? I hope you ALWAYS take a day off. You can see how crowded your life could suddenly turn out, and without a firm grip on managing your time to rest, refresh and recover, WHAM!, you're hooked and enslaved to busyness and little or no time for rest and fellowship with the Lord of the harvest, God Almighty through Christ Jesus! Now, you're on your own! Don't even go there. Wise planning could save your life and increase productivity. What is your day off? God rested, what about you?
Exodus 1: 17.
It is a sign between Me and the children of Israel for ever; for in six days the Lord made heaven and earth, and on the seventh day He rested and was refreshed.
How well you manage your rest on whatever day you choose, will determine how healthy, alert, energetic and productive the rest of the week will turn out. If you're pressured into compromise, you'll lose the refreshment and won't be physically sharp enough to receive and give what God has entrusted on you. Powerful, anointed ministers of the Gospel of Jesus Christ have met untimely death because the demand for their anointing and attention was far more than their physical energy could handle, and the whole body of Christ got seriously affected by the loss of their precious physical presence. God wants us alive and well because replacement even by God is never overnight. Never feel guilty for spending your day off totally and fully resting.
SPIRITUAL REST. PASS THE SPIRITUAL TEST.
We are given the authority to choose who is in charge by deciding where to anchor our mind and faith. What Controls, Stress vs. Rest. Stress is in charge when thoughts focus on lack, local limitations, and the heavy pressures of the world. Rest is in charge when the mind aligns with God's PROMISES, perspective, trusting His timing, design, and ultimate control. How to Put Rest in Charge. Shift your gaze: Prompt gratitude and thanksgiving lift your eyes off what is lacking to reveal existing blessings. Release the pressure: Remember that you do not have to do it all in your own strength; a quiet faith trusts that God can use anyone and anything who is willing and obedient. Avoid anything that contradicts God's command, for instance, forgive promptly, repent wholeheartedly.
THE ONLY PERSON YOU SHOULD STRIVE TO BE BETTER THAN IS THE PERSON YOU WERE YESTERDY. COMPLEMENT, COMPLETE AND COKPLIMENT OTHERS.
Galatians 6:4
Pay careful attention to your own work, for then you will get the satisfaction of a job well done, and you won’t need to compare yourself to anyone else.
Love people and share generously. Start small: Avoid getting overwhelmed by massive goals; being faithful with what you have right where you are builds a solid stepping stone. True rest is an intentional act of faith and absolute obedience to God, allowing and leading to divine peace to take the lead over daily anxieties.
Philippians 4:6,7.
Do not worry or be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus."
