                               GRACE TO OUR NATION
                               By Robert Schaetzle

Therefore, my beloved, as you have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling;  for it is God who works in you both to will and to do for His good pleasure. Philippians 2:12 NKJV

Let’s give ourselves a good Spiritual workout by demonstrating to others God’s grace over us, and in our lives. As we work out or through our living experiences with gratitude in our performance. With certainty this verse does not define itself as working  for our salvation or redemption. Jesus did that for us on the cross. As we walk by faith each day through our living experiences, we are recognizing the challenge to give a good ‘Spiritual Workout,’ by what we do at any given opportunity.

Becoming a ‘follower’ of Jesus, with my new birth, I became of age. Understanding I am different from what  used to be. Reading and memorizing scripture like the 139th Psalm, I was given insight.

Your eyes saw my unformed substance; in your book were written, every one of them, the days that were formed for me, when as yet there was none of them. How precious to me are your thoughts, O God! How vast is the sum of them! Psalm 139 : 16-17 ESV

The thought of counting others more significant than myself was foreign to me when just living for my self-centered wants. To look after the needs and interests of others was challenging me, to exercise my Spiritual workout for other’s needs.

My best workout is exercising my and mind to become a better doer of God’s word and promise. This enables me to do what John the Baptist said; He (our Lord) must increase but I must decrease. John 3:30

Father, let’s give our Nation a good ‘Spiritual Workout’, on its birthday, for others through our lives.

                HAPPY BIRTHDAY AMERICA…!
