GOD IS VERY CLOSE TO YOU.
We don't blame God if He seems so far away, and our cry, prayers and supplications seem to bounce back blocked, unheard and unanswered. The disconnection is on our side, not on His side. Our lips and mouth may be crying out for help but our hearts are unstable, wavering, doubtful, confused and AFRAID.
Matthew 15:8.
Jesus said, ‘These people honor me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me.
Fear, doubt and unbelief are spiritual repellants to the power, presence and love of God. Spiritually, you're screaming at God to "GET AWAY FROM ME, I DON'T TRUST YOU, I DON'T BELIEVE YOU'RE CAPABLE OF HELPING ME. WHO ARE YOU? I DON'T KNOW YOU!
Mark 11:25.
“And whenever you stand praying, if you have anything against anyone, forgive him, that your Father in heaven may also forgive you your trespasses.
1 John 5:14-15
This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. 15 And if we know that he hears us—whatever we ask—we know that we have what we asked of him.
James 1.6-8.
But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind. People like that should not expect to receive anything from the Lord. They can't make up their minds. They waver back and forth in everything they do.
Psalm 34.15
The eyes of the LORD are on the righteous, And His ears are open to their cry.
Sin is a stumbling block to answered prayers. Strife, unforgiveness, sexual immorality and perversion, lying and everything contrary to God's holy standards. Confess those sins to God, repent and forsake them and RETURN to God.
Colossians 3:5-10.
So put to death the sinful, earthly things lurking within you. Have nothing to do with sexual immorality, impurity, lust, and evil desires. Don’t be greedy, for a greedy person is an idolater, worshiping the things of this world. 6 Because of these sins, the anger of God is coming. You used to do these things when your life was still part of this world. But now is the time to get rid of anger, rage, malicious behavior, slander, and dirty language. Don’t lie to each other, for you have stripped off your old sinful nature and all its wicked deeds. Put on your new nature, and be renewed as you learn to know your Creator and become like him.
James 4.8
Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded. Let there be tears for the wrong things you have done. Let there be sorrow and deep grief. Let there be sadness instead of laughter, and gloom instead of joy. Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will lift you up.
1 John.1.9
If we confess our sins to God, He is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.
Proverbs 15.3
The eyes of the LORD are in every place, beholding the evil and the good.
GOD IS VERY CLOSE TO YOU. BUT IF WE'RE TOO BUSY TO SEEK GOD, HE'S CURRENTLY UNREACHABLE, TOO BUSY DRAWING NEAR TO THOSE SEEKING HIM WITH ALL THEIR HEARTS
Jeremiah 29:11-13.
For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.
2 Chronicles 16.9.
The eyes of the LORD search the whole earth in order to show Himself strong to strengthen those whose hearts are loyal and fully committed to Him.
