THE CALLING!
When the Lord calls you into full time or part time ministry, and you don't know YET what specific area of your ministry to function, get excited and grateful that the Creator of Heaven and Earth and Maker of all things isn't just your Father, but, now your employer and boss.
WHAT A GLORIOUS PRIVILEGE!
Begin serving in whatever capacity. Keep meeting whatever need you could find or you're assigned. Do that for precious families, great communities and powerful ministries and wherever you go. We shouldn't be thinking of any salary structure or rewards, be assured that God rewards those who diligently seek, serve and obey Him. Hebrews 11:6.
JUST CONSIDER IT A PRIVILEGE TO SERVE GOD BY SERVING PEOPLE, LIKE JESUS CHRIST DID! FOCUS ON SERVING SELFLESSLY.
Though the Lord may confirm and validate your gift or calling through other believers, don't put your confidence in that to execute and implement your calling and spiritual responsibilities FAITHFULLY. Your gift or calling may be unpopular and uncommon, but will always have DIVINE PLAN AND PURPOSE. Keep walking and working in love, peace and harmony with other believers in building God's Church through your gift. The just shall live, walk and function by faith in God's Word. And faith works by love. Love becomes practical through our sacrifice and selfless service. GOD DOESN'T GIVE US HIS GIFTS OR CALL US BECAUSE OF PEOPLE'S APPROVAL, BUT IN ORDER TO MEET AND SATISFY NEEDS, AND ALSO FULFILL THE RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE CHURCH, TO THE BODY OF CHRIST AND TO THE WORLD.
Ephesians 4:11-16.
Now these are the gifts Christ gave to the church: the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, and the pastors and teachers. Their RESPONSIBILITY is to EQUIP God’s people to do his work and BUILD UP (edify) the church, the body of Christ. THIS WILL CONTINUE UNTIL we all come to such unity in our faith and knowledge of God’s Son that we will be mature in the Lord, measuring up to the full and complete standard of Christ.
( PLEASE NOTE. These gifts will become unnecessary ONLY when the Church, God's people become united in faith focused in Christ only and mature, active Christians serving selflessly with Christlike character. And since the Church is not there yet, these 5 fold ministries and many other very important gifts/callings in the body of Christ today will remain relevant and functional in God's approval, empowered by the Holy Spirit)
Then we will no longer be immature like children. We won’t be tossed and blown about by every wind of new teaching. We will not be influenced when people try to trick us with lies so clever they sound like the truth. Instead, we will speak the truth in love, growing in every way more and more like Christ, who is the head of his body, the church. He makes the whole body fit together perfectly. As each part does its own special work, it helps the other parts grow, so that the whole body is healthy and growing and full of love.
Jesus Christ is VERY concerned about the welfare of His Church and the destiny of humanity. That also means no gift or calling is inferior until we're too afraid of criticisms, lazy and unfaithful in putting them to productive use. NEVER BURY YOUR GIFT! Whatever gift we don't use, we lose, otherwise it multiplies.
John 5:42-44. Jesus Says.
“Your approval or disapproval means nothing to me, for as I know so well, you don’t have God’s love within you. I know, because I have come to you representing my Father and you refuse to welcome me, though you readily enough receive those who aren’t sent from him, but represent only themselves! No wonder you can’t believe! For you gladly honor each other, but you don’t care about the honor that comes from the only God!
Not everyone thought or thinks Jesus Christ is the Messiah, the Savior of the World, but He is because the Word of God, the Bible says so. Period! HEAR AND GET DIRECTIONS FROM GOD AND GET TO WORK, THAT'S ALL YOU NEED!
Galatians 1:1.
This letter is from Paul, an apostle. I was not appointed by any group of people or any human authority, but by Jesus Christ himself and by God the Father, who raised Jesus from the dead.
Whatever you're called to do, whether directly by God or indirectly through your leadership, REMAIN FOCUSED, do it faithfully, diligently as unto the Lord, (keep at it) and do it with excellence, strive to do it the very best way possible giving glory to God. Read good Christian books of successful ministers, attend leadership conferences and seminars, visit other successful ministries and LEARN SOMETHING NEW EVERY TIME. Have mentors. Be humble, friendly and teachable. Iron sharpens iron!
Finally, and most important, be a man and woman of prayer. This factor to an effective, enduring and God approved ministry can never be over emphasized. Jesus Christ left all and focused on prayer and fasting for 40 days before He commenced and ventured into ministry, continued communicating through regular praying with the Father during His earthly ministry and still interceding in prayer right now at God's right hand in Heaven. Hallelujah!
Luke 5;16.
But Jesus often withdrew to the wilderness for prayer.
