CHRISTIAN MINISTRY, A DIVINE TASK
Christian Ministry is Divine Assignment and never a secular job.
Ministers act as ambassadors chosen, mandated and ordained PRIMARILY by God, their tasks and responsibilities carrying eternal weight. They have yielded and are still yielding to divine training and have grown and matured spiritually to a certain degree where they could be trusted to handle divine assignments on a regular basis, whenever they are called upon. God uses anyone and anything at any time, but only uses trained, tested and trusted vessels on a REGULAR basis.
Christian Ministry is a Royal Stewardship.
Christian Service reflects the pattern of the Kingdom of God operating in this world, demanding excellence and honor, righteousness and compassion the core attribute and demonstration of the love of God in human society.
Christian Ministry is Sacrificial Leadership.
True authority in and by the leadership of the church in lighting up a dark world and preserving it from moral and every form of decadence, and also ensuring, maintaining and establishing the TRUTH of God's Word, is achieved through Christlike service and character.
Christian Ministry is Serving with Dignity Reflecting the nature of Christ.
We must endeavor to model our daily conduct after the character and teachings of Jesus Christ, our author and finisher of our faith. We must be holy in our dealings with men even when corruption and irresponsibility becomes a norm and widely acceptable. We must distinguish ourselves and our operations while interceding for those around us. We must be steadfast and unmovable in the face of every form of pressure to conform to the perverse status quo.
Christian ministry Maintains Honor.
We must protect the reputation of our calling through self-disciplined living with godliness, righteousness and the love of God as our rigid standards. We must respect others with any tint of discrimination or disrespect. Treat every individual as a valuable bearer of God's image.
Christian ministry Commands Respect.
We must ensure that our speech, lifestyle, and purity set an unquestionable standard. Our godly public and private examples are louder and more effective messages than mere words.
Christian Ministry Serves with Humility Deflecting Praise.
As sign posts, we must redirect all credit, honor, and glory back to God alone through Jesus Christ. We must value others and commend them for their roles and contributions to the work of the Lord. We must explicitly place the spiritual and emotional needs of others above our own.
Christian ministry embraces Feedback.
Because the spiritual and physical well being of people is God's ultimate business and we are honored to be chosen as His representatives here on earth. Therefore we must remain highly accessible, teachable, and readily accept correction from trusted leaders and constructive criticism.
Christian Ministry Shares Power and authority to make a greater and wider impact. Actively empower others by delegating authority and spotlighting new leaders. The Church of Jesus Christ, the body of Christ is a spiritual school and not a spiritual pool. We must emphasize and work towards getting our congregation and those under our leadership to grow, mature and reproduce and eventually graduate into their unique or primary visions as the Holy Spirit calls them.
Christian ministry must serve with Transparency and Financial Integrity.
Endeavor to Implement open, strictly audited financial systems for all ministry funds.
Christian Ministry ensures honest communication.
We must Speak the truth plainly without using exaggeration or manipulation. And be humble and transparent enough to confess flaws and ask for forgiveness Authentically share personal struggles and be strong enough to ask for prayer support to build genuine, relatable community and bonding.
Christian Ministry requires clear accountability.
It is very important to surround the leadership with mature leaders with a strong intercessory edge and often share and submit crucial decisions to determine the Lord's accurate direction through prayer.
