FIVE WORDS
The sweetest words
upon the ear
of one bowed low
with heavy care,
are not words of pity,
but words of hope,
though both of these
do find their scope
in the five words
that say it all;
five words
that heed the call.
Five words that speak
of care;
five words that know
no fear;
five words of power,
bringing light;
five words of comfort
in the fight.
What five words,
so simple, yet so deep,
will always prove
to be so sweet?
“I will pray for you.”
