Encouragement

It’s summer here in New Zealand, but back in our home country it’s winter. Some other parts of the world must be experiencing different seasons as well. Interesting how God created the world, a place for living things to dwell, with continuous changes and variations. I wonder why God did not stop with just one kind of weather or one season, or one kind of flower or just one kind of all he created. He introduced variation and change in almost everything he made, but in a meaningful and a coordinated way. The best part is, every variety has its own uniqueness! What should be learned from this? Does it mean change is a basic nature of life?

There was a change for Daniel when he was forcefully separated from his family. There was change for Abraham when the Lord asked him to leave his dwelling place and go to unknown places where he was guided. There must have been a change for Moses, when God himself asked him to lead his people out of Egypt. Trying to understand the purpose of one’s creation and the will of the Lord can be a beautiful way of embracing changes in life.

Embracing change can be a difficult process for some people. People tend to stay in their zone of comfort and wouldn’t like to be out of it unless forced or ruled by unmanageable circumstances. Change may help keep hope alive, change may help give a new perspective towards life.

Being stubborn may develop pain for us as well as for those around who are trying to help us when in needy situations. Prayerfully embracing what God brings our way is powerful in aligning ourselves with His will.
