Has it ever happened when you desired for something and did not receive it? We all have been there; wanting to be a part of a team but didn’t really get the opportunity; desired a job in an institution but didn’t get an opening, wanted to have loads of friends but didn’t. Many a times we weary ourselves trying to deeply follow our desires. Instead, how about seeking God first in the matter, then letting the Lord take over and do His will? It can make us restless as we wait on the Lord, but at the same time, as we become practiced in it and train ourselves to keep seeking His face, it becomes satisfying and restful – for we know our prayer will be answered. How awesome is that!

 

It’s important to sometimes sit in quietness and think, what is our life representing? What could one learn from our lives? Is it about how to run around for materialism, or leaning on God for his faithfulness, or just tossing forward and backwards with the blows of life? Try asking someone who has known you for years and can give genuine feedback. What do they see working in your life? Or what could someone learn from your life experiences? It’s a huge thing.

 

We learn traffic rules to drive, learn ways of cultures to adapt, and much more. This means we can train ourselves. What matters in life are the experiences we gain, and how we use them with humility to positively influence others. Arrogance shows emptiness. Mocking shows shallowness. Jesus never did that. He was confident in himself but never made others feel low for their lack of knowledge, but helped them, lifting them up. What is your story? What will you let people know from your life? Can they see Jesus in you? If not, what changes do you need to make so they will?
