Four Convictions

The world is in a mess.
Much of the professing church is in a mess.
We desperately need God to do something.
And, praise the Lord, there is hope!

Speaking of God the Holy Spirit, Jesus promised that, “When He has come, He will convict the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment: of sin, because they do not believe in me; of righteousness, because I go to My Father and you see me no more; of judgment, because the ruler of this world is judged.”
John 16:8-11

Convict no. 1. Sin.
Convict no. 2. Righteousness.
Convict no. 3. Judgment.

Sin. The source, the power of all evil,
The first word John the Baptist and Jesus preached was ‘Repent!’
And only when each of us is convicted of our sin, will we repent and go to Jesus as our precious sacrificed and resurrected Saviour.
