                  Live In Conviction of Faith Assigned

For by the grace given to me I say to everyone among you not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think, but to think with sober judgment, each according to the measure of faith that God has assigned.
Romans 12:3 ESV

Actions we do each day are completed through trusting faith. Often we may not be mindful; ‘it is faith in action!’ Striving to recognize God’s presence in us. Doing so helps with doubt. I must always be aware; I am a new creature in Christ. (Galatians 2:20) This conviction in my heart shields me from Satan’s lies thrown at me. The weakness from my own sin nature is removed when I claim God’s promises (His word) in my heart.

We are so blessed when we have much of God’s word in our heart to call out to when temptation comes, or feel Satan throwing lies at us.

Joshua, when he was instructed to bring Israel across the Jordan into the ‘Promised Land,’ instructed the people from God’s inspiration: This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.  Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.” Joshua 1:8-9

With God’s authority and voice of encouragement, Joshua and the people of Israel did what God instructed them to do. Marching around Jerico as commanded, witnessing God’s power at work when the walls of Jericho fell inward, for Israel to conquer.

Father, our ‘faith in action,’ by the measure of faith assigned each one of us with sober judgement, accomplishes works not yet recognized as you working through us, amen
