                                        A Father’s Love

But the steadfast love of the Lord is from everlasting to everlasting on those who fear him, and his righteousness to children's children. Psalm 103:17 ESV

I am grateful to recognize my heavenly Father's deep love for me.  This wonderful heavenly love that blesses me every day, is beyond comprehension.  Because of this love, God enables me to love my five children and all my grandchildren not from my feelings, but with God’s design. For them to also discover Heavenly sufficiency.  This delivers me from anxiousness concerning my affection toward my children.

Our Fathers love brings grace over fear. God’s word in our heart is carrying with us His weapons of defense from fear over matters that we cannot recognize or control.  Our Heavenly Father’s love is the shield for all who fear Him, as promised from Him.

In my senior years I lose physical strength, as when I was young. It is now my children, from their affection, reach out to care for and look after me. Even with our Heavenly Father’s power that never diminishes. His grace and mercy are so much higher than our thoughts will ever be!  

My worth lies in recognizing what truly matters over what is most important, especially in how I love my children and grandchildren.  

I am encouraged by what the Apostle Peter shares: For it stands in Scripture: “Behold, I am laying in Zion a stone, a cornerstone chosen and precious, and whoever believes in him will not be put to shame.”1 Peter 2:6

 My trusting faith in Jesus gives no cause to ever be ashamed to proclaim His presence in me, as I daily reach out to love those I love so dearly.

Father, thank you for this you bring to me every day… ‘A Father’s Love,’ that will never fade away or diminish with time. A father’s love for his children increases because I know our Heavenly Father’s love is from everlasting to everlasting… AMEN
